Good CSpan 2 today.
If we don't win some mid-term seats next year, we're going to endure more years of powerlessness. The odds are against us winning enough seats in the House or Senate to regain control, but 43 is screwing up so badly that we may have a chance to regain some of the power and influence we've lost. The longer they have control, the more they're able to consolidate and strengthen it.
The Supreme Court, and many lower courts, are now on the other side. Media is also still more helpful to 43 than to our side. We have innumerable small, isolated groups and individuals with us, but we have not coalesced into an effective political force. With all the folks splintering off into smaller sub-groups, we never will have a potent, cohesive, political counter force. This is what 43 and his cronies want and, so far, it's what they have. The palliative that "one day" we'll regain control gets old.
