U S. and Mexican Border Situation
This is a touchy subject these days with strong opinions on all sides. I would say strong opinions on both sides, but I don't even know how many sides and opinions there are in this voltile debate. I know there's are the positions of the Mexican government, U.S. government, Mexican immigrants, U.S. citizens', Mexican citizens, U. S. businesses, Homeland Security, churches and probably others I have not listed. Suffice to say it's a complicated mess that's getting worse while we're still bogged down in Iraq and Afghanistan. The border problem is in the news night and day with no resolution in sight.

The border between Mexico and the United States spans four U.S. states, six Mexican states, and has over twenty commercial crossings.

  Wednesday, December 6th
Wednesday was a great Fall day. Watched some early morning TV shows, and made some recordings. At 10 AM I went to a local church and previewed a DVD series called "Living The Questions", with the minister and another person. We watched the first program of a 12 part series. It has been called controversial, and I saw why and liked it. There were many theologians who spoke in the program and they were all very liberal and open minded. I liked what I saw and look forward to the discussion group we will have beginning in early January. The group I'm in at the church just finished discussing "When Religion Becomes Evil", which was also very provocative, informative and educational. Had lunch with the minister, and then went to Brandon and bought some high tech items one of which I can use to show my photos in a framed slide show in the family room.

  Welcome Home

My guard squirrel waits for me to get home, and park next to his tree. Then we talk about what's been happening while I was gone. He's hangs out in one of my loquat trees, and likes to eat the tree's fruit when it's ripe. We compete for it, and I've told him to leave the low ones for me.

  Great Christmas Present This Year!
Democrats finally got some power back. Can't wait for January 3rd, and the beginning of major changes in our country.

Note: If you make a comment you will need to scroll down on the comment area page to a word verifcation code which keeps my blog from being spammed. Thank you. I'm not sure what this blog is all about yet, but I do know that everything and everybody is "wabi sabi", which means incomplete, impermanent and imperfect. There now. Did that help? If not, I hope you enjoy my blog anyway.
